Paul grew up in Western Springs Illinois, just outside of Chicago. He has lived with his wife, son and daughter in Wisconsin, Indiana, Texas, Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma, and now in Florida.

Having been a pastor, he always enjoyed having missionaries come to the church to give a first-person perspective on what was going on in their ministry, as well as specifics of how we might pray for them.
