From the Elder Board
April 28, 2017 – Pastoral Search Team Nominating Process
The Elders have asked Peter Magnuson to chair the Pastoral Search Team, and Ross Lehman to be a member of the team. The elders would like congregational recommendations as to who should be the additional 4-6 members.
Please consider the following factors as you recommend persons for the search team: people of prayer, people with different ministry interests and experience, people with gifts of wisdom and discernment, and people committed to the process and to seeking the Holy Spirit for the next pastor of CCC. The team will be made up of both men and women and comprised mostly of members of CCC. However there may also be non-members who are regular attenders who have unique experience that could benefit the search team. (A church directory is attached.)
Ballots will be handed out during the worship service on April 30 and May 7, and a copy will be made available on the church website under the “Elders” tab. Every adult (member as well as non-member) may complete a ballot and place it in the offering box at the back of the sanctuary or give it to the church office no later than Sunday, May 7.
The elders hope to name the Pastoral Search Team by May 20, and then the team will meet with our District Superintendent Glen Schreiber for their initial meeting. Thank you for your prayers and your input on this matter. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call any one of the elders:

George Rowe 427-4915

April 21, 2017 – Pastoral Transition: From the Elder Board
The Christ Community Church elder board asks for your continued prayer for discernment of God’s will for our senior pastor transition. There are many details that need to be worked out and schedules to consider. We are trusting in the Lord for His guidance and direction as we walk with Him over the months ahead. (Proverbs. 3:5-6)
Please pray these requests for Christ Community Church:

- The Folk Family and their preparations for their move to North Carolina
- Wisdom for elders as Jim’s pastoral duties are assigned and assumed.

April 1, 2017 – Pastor Jim & Family On The Move
A couple of months ago my family and I were called to an Evangelical Free Church in Cary, North Carolina. To leave Ocala and Christ Community Church was a tough decision, because there are no negative factors here that have spurred our choice. But my sister and her husband live on Durham, NC, and we have decided that we would liketo be closer to family over the next season of our lives. (My parents also live in Norfolk,
VA- about a four-hour drive from Cary.) We will be moving the first week in June.
We have truly enjoyed and have been blessed by our time here in Ocala. God has shown his faithfulness to Christ Community Church and we trust that good things are ahead as the church grows closer to God, closer to one another, and deepens relationships in the community as the church continues to minister in Christ’s name.
The elders will be forming a Pastoral Search Team comprised of people within the congregation over the next 3-4 weeks, and they will be sharing regular updates on Sunday morning. I encourage you to seek God individually and together during this process. Please pray for Christ Community Church as well as our family as we move to a new church and a new home.
God has arranged the people in Christ Community Church just as he wants them to be and many of you will step up to new roles of service and leadership during this transition. Let’s continue to delight in God and love him with all our heart!
1 Corinthians 12:18-20 (ESV)
But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.
